Our Approach to Christian Coach Training
Every course at PCCI integrates biblical principles with evidence-based coaching methodologies – rigorous professionally, grounded spiritually. All courses are taught live via Zoom by ICF-credentialed faculty who bring real coaching experience into every class. And as one of the few Christian coach training programs accredited by ICF at both the Level 1 and Level 2 certificate levels, every hour you invest here counts toward the credentials that matter most.

Frequently Asked Questions About Christian Coach Training
What is Christian coach training?
Christian coach training equips you with the professional coaching skills recognized by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), integrated within a biblical worldview. Rather than simply teaching techniques, PCCI’s training develops your coaching presence, your competencies, and your capacity to walk alongside others in calling-oriented, transformational work.
How is PCCI’s coach training different from other programs?
PCCI has been training Christian coaches since 1999 – longer than most programs in this space have existed. Our training is accredited by ICF at both the Level 1 and Level 2 certificate levels, our entire faculty holds ICF credentials, and every course is taught live, not pre-recorded. You’ll finish not just with a course certificate, but with real coaching reps and a community of fellow coaches behind you.
Do I need prior coaching experience to register?
No. The Essentials of Life Coaching and The Essentials of Leadership Coaching are designed for those new to professional coaching. Many of our students come from ministry, counseling, HR, or leadership backgrounds and bring rich experience – but no prior coaching training is required.
How long does Christian coach training take?
The ICF Level 1 certificate usually takes about six months to earn, while the ICF Level 2 certificate and CPLC certification typically takes 12–18 months depending on course scheduling and pace. Individual courses range from 10 to 43 hours. You can explore the full timeline and requirements on our Coaching Certification page.
Will my training hours count toward an ICF credential?
Yes. PCCI’s program is ICF-accredited, and the hours you complete count toward the education requirements for earning your ICF Level 1 and Level 2 certificates, allowing you to apply for your Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentials upon meeting the ICF’s additional requirements.
