What is CPLC Certification?

Professional Christian Coaching Institute’s CPLC Certification supports participants in Raising the Standard of Christian coaching throughout the world.

There are two different types of CPLC Certifications, Certified Professional Life Coach, and Certified Professional Leadership Coach. Many of our students go on to pursue BOTH certifications to distinguish themselves as trained and certified as both a life coach and leadership coach.

Requirements to earn the CPLC Certification:

Upon completion of these requirements, you may apply for your CPLC and be awarded the designation. Applications typically take 4-6 weeks to process before certification is awarded.

CPLC Certification and the ICF

The ICF has accredited Professional Christian Coaching Institute with both Level 1 and Level 2 Certificate programs. Every course at PCCI is aligned with ICF standards and is approved for coach-specific education hours that can be applied toward your ICF credential or used toward ICF credential renewal.

Our CPLC certifications do double-duty, enabling you to exceed education requirements for the ICF Level 1 Certificate, and providing the required education hours needed to pursue the first level of ICF credentialing, the Associate Certified Coach (ACC). By pursuing CPLC certification, you’ll receive extremely comprehensive training and earn a certification that doesn’t require renewal.

Combining our four core education courses with our business development courseThe Successful Coach – or any other single elective course of your choosing, enables you to exceed the education requirements for the ICF Level 2 Certificate program, providing the education hours necessary to pursue the ICF’s advanced level of certification, the Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

Earning Both CPLC Certifications

As mentioned above, many students may decide to pursue BOTH CPLC Certifications. Here are the basic requirements to add the second certification once the requirements above are complete:

  • If you originally took The Essentials of Life Coaching, complete The Leadership Certification Bridge Course. This 10-hour course is designed to build upon the foundation established when you completed the full Essentials of Life Coaching course. You will cover the primary distinctions of leadership coaching in an accelerated format. If all other CPLC requirements have been met, you may then apply for your Leadership CPLC.
  • If you originally took The Essentials of Leadership Coaching, complete The Essentials of Life Coaching course. While there is not an accelerated format of this class, it does still serve as the bridge to a second CPLC certification. If all other CPLC requirements have been met, you may then apply for your Life CPLC.
