All coaches face risks. Those who face the greatest risks are those who are the least informed and educated. This 10-hour class provides an understanding of ethics as defined by a variety of codes applicable to coaches, with primary emphasis on the ICF Code of Ethics.
Students will examine the key legal issues of which coaches should be aware and receive potentially career-saving information about liability risk management techniques. Case examples are used to demonstrate issues and facilitate discussion, and opportunity is provided to address specific questions on client issues you may be facing.
Please note that this course is not a substitute for legal counsel and you will not be given legal advice by your instructors.
