When “Someday” Became Today: How Edwin Soler Went From Stuck to Dream Realization Partner
Edwin felt stuck in a career going nowhere, dreaming of doing “something more.” Then he discovered coaching. “I was absolutely sure this was what I was called to do. The fire in me just wouldn’t go away.”
Edwin Soler kept dreaming from behind his law enforcement desk. Someday, he’d think. Someday I’ll be able to do something more.
He felt intensely called to serve people differently, to make a bigger impact. But he was stuck in a career going nowhere. He could see the what and the why—that desire to do “way more” wouldn’t leave him alone. The how stumped him completely.
Then Edwin discovered coaching. And everything clicked.
“I was absolutely sure this was what I was called to do, what I was created for,” he says. “The fire in me just wouldn’t go away.”
Still, fears lingered. Could he complete the training while working full-time? He stayed late at his office after shifts just to make it to class. But what happened in those classes changed everything.
The Power of Starting Immediately
“We started coaching right away,” Edwin remembers. “That experience allowed me to experience the power of coaching immediately.”
During feedback sessions with classmates, the possibilities became real. This wasn’t theoretical. This was actually working.
The training taught him practical skills he’d never considered. Holding silence—creating space for a client to process and respond—felt revolutionary. But the deeper transformation came from learning to invite the Holy Spirit into coaching conversations.
“The session becomes so much more powerful when that invitation is accepted by both coach and client,” he explains.
A Moment He’ll Never Forget
Then came the breakthrough that would stay with him forever.
During a session with a pastor’s wife, Edwin simply reflected back what she had said to him. In that moment, she realized her own words contradicted her core beliefs. Right before his eyes, her entire mindset transformed.
“I saw the power of coaching working in her,” he says. “I will never forget it.”
Today: A Completely Different Person
Edwin now serves clients as a Dream Realization Partner. But the transformation extends far beyond his coaching practice.
“I am a completely different person than I was seven years ago,” he shares. “Coaching doesn’t just transform clients—it transforms the coach as well.”
He’s developed what he calls a deeper level of self-awareness. He’s learned to slow down, process clearly, take proactive action instead of overthinking. He’s stopped waiting for qualification and started walking in his calling with confidence.
His Message to You
His advice to anyone sensing that same whisper he once felt?
“Your dream keeps calling you because it will not die. It demands to be listened to. Your dream is calling—the question is: will you answer it?”
Edwin did. And his “someday” became today.
